Starsky and Hutch star takes to the stage
28th Feb 2014Craig Revel Horwood, BBC 1’s Strictly Come Dancing judge, has recreated Jerome Robbins’ original direction and choreography for Fiddler On The Roof and Paul will take the lead role of Tevye.
The show is one of Broadway’s longest-running musicals of all time, with a marathon run of more than 13 years and more than 3,000 performances from its premiere in 1964.
This new production captures all the emotions and is filled to the brim with memorable songs including If I Were A Rich Man, Matchmaker Matchmaker, Sunrise Sunset, To Life and Tradition.
Fiddler On The Roof is set in a Russian village in 1905 and Tevye, the local milkman, has always stuck to the traditional way of life.
Suddenly his head-strong daughters decide they want to marry for love rather than agree to the choice of Yente, the Matchmaker. Tevye loves his daughters but he is faced with the challenge of convincing his wife and the villagers to accept change.
On TV Paul Michael Glaser is best known for playing David Starsky in the iconic series Starsky And Hutch, opposite David Soul.
On stage, he has appeared in more than 50 roles in regional, off-Broadway and Broadway theatre in America.
